International Rural women’s day

On the 15th of October 2018 WLSA, in conjunction with the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprise Development hosted International Rural Women’s Day commemorations at Chidara Primary School, Chitangazuva (Ward 27) in Mutoko. The day was earmarked to celebrate the role of rural women, evaluating their contribution and highlighting the effect of their response to climate change and how agricultural activities are altered.The celebrations were conducted under the  2018  national theme  “Rural women as effective agents of promoting sustainable development and mitigating adversities of climate change”
